Dave Snowden is one of the premiere contemporary business thinkers. He's the author of Cynefin framework which provides a very elegant, yet extremely powerful explanation of inner workings of complex adaptive systems involving humans. I've been applying the Cynefin framework to my thinking for the past year and it has proved itself to be a very effective way to go about changing things or accepting them for the way they are.
If you haven't heard it yet, Dave Snowden is coming to Slovenia to be a keynote speaker at Agile Slovenia 2014. While Dave Snowden has become a very influential thinker in agile community in the past few years, his ideas are applicable much broader and anyone feeling responsible for making organizations better at what they do (top managers and government officials first come to my mind) is well advised to attend the Agile Slovenia conference and hear Dave Snowden speak in person. I'm sure this is a rare opportunity not to be missed.
And if Dave Snowden is not convincing enough reason for you to attend Agile Slovenia 2014, there's another reason why you should attend - I'm speaking there, too. The title of my talk is There’s no such thing as an agile contract, which you'll hopefully find provocative while the content of my talk is still TBD.
