While agile management looks very simple in theory, it is very hard to do in practice. Namely, agile is about internalizing a solid set of values and principles and applying them to how you approach and manage your team. While particular flavors (e.g. scrum, kanban) specify in more detail also some best practices, the practitioner is not given a bunch of cookbooks (e.g. PMI's Book of Knowledge, IBM's Rational Unified Process) which would prescribe in detail what should a project manager do and how (s)he should behave. Therefore it is essential for a practitioner of agile approaches to be in touch with agile community in order to learn from others and verify his or hers own practices with peers. A good opportunity to meet your peers and learn from fellow practitioners will be on October 7th at Agile Slovenia 2013. Already inaugural conference was a big success, but this year Voranc managed to organize an even better line up of speakers and very interesting program. Last year conference was sold out so register early!
In the evening after the conference we also plan to organize a meet-up of Skram.si group, hopefully with at least some of conference speakers in attendance. I'll let you know once this is confirmed.
