I work a lot. I work probably too much, as evident by my increased level of triglycerides. But I don't work that much because I would need to (though, life got terribly expensive as of lately), but because I see so many opportunities that I just don't want to miss or others to take. As if working harder would be a sort of prayer for successful fulfillment of my plans.
The right calls for hard work, the left for more jobs. The dream of mechanisation leading to shorter working hours seems forgotten If there's one thing practically all futurologists once agreed on, it's that in the 21st century there would be a lot less work.
