Important news from Yahoo!
Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang announced on Tuesday that he is resigning from the company he started in 1995. Yang would leave the boards of Yahoo Japan Corp. and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., in which Yahoo owns significant stakes.
Finally! This will give Yahoo! an opportunity to get leaner by selling assets and focusing on their core competencies (once they identify them, that is). One should also not forget that Yang was the most responsible that acquisition by Microsoft did not go through.
